Mintra secures NOK 1.3 million additional revenues to support client's North Sea workforce training

03 / 03 / 2022
Digital learning and human capital management specialist Mintra has secured NOK 1.3 million in additional business from a major North Sea energy operator. The client - a long-standing Mintra customer - has increased the volume of elearning license purchases to fulfil a growing requirement for industry-specific technical and compliance training for its workforce.

A significant number of the additional training licenses will be allocated to employees who will be based on a new flotel that is due to come into service later this year. This expanded contract has also led to Mintra developing a bespoke workplace induction course for employees working on the asset.

Mintra CEO Kevin Short said: "We are delighted to be able to support this client in creating a safe and compliant workforce for this new asset. Following the vast reduction in personnel on board installations in the North Sea during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, we now see the workforce return to more normalised levels.

"Contracts such as these cement our belief that there will be a greater demand for training in our key customer markets as our clients gradually increase the number of people returning to work in the offshore environment."
