Senior Software Developer (Java) UK Vacancy

Mintra has an exciting opportunity for a talented and dynamic Senior Software Developer to join our Java Development team, responsible for developing and maintaining our market leading Learning Management System - Trainingportal.

About the job:

The Java Development Team forms part of a global network of Software Development Teams responsible for developing and supporting Mintra’s software solutions. Working closely with product managers, technical and consultancy teams you will be responsible for the successful development and support of our systems and software.

The main activities of the Software Developer include:

• Design and develop scalable services that fit a microservice architecture following Domain Drive Design.
• Write high quality code, participate in code reviews and be responsible for other code quality activities.
• Write unit and integration tests.
• Conduct functional and non-functional testing.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Write technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions.

We`d like you to have:

• Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role.

We can’t live without:

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with designing scalable services following domain driven design.
• Has experience with Cloud Infrastructure. Preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript and frameworks/systems (e.g. Spring, NodeJs)
• Experience with NoSQL as well as Relational Databases such as MySQL.
• Ability to act as a technical lead. Can be responsible for project delivery and setting quality standards.
