We are thrilled to have successfully completed the migration of Intership Navigation Co. Ltd.'s fleet of over 100 vessels and 3,000 seafarers to our Trainingportal Learning and Competency Management System.
This milestone achievement underscores their commitment to enhancing the training, career progression, and safety of their seafarers. Mintra, was selected by Intership to provide cutting-edge training solutions with our software solutions that enable clients to develop their workforce, ensure compliance, and maximise operational efficiency.
A Comprehensive Overhaul
The migration process was more than just a technical transition. It involved a comprehensive ‘revise and refresh’ of the training matrix. Our specialist team updated and aligned the new one with all of Intership’s learning objectives while optimising the number of courses to enhance engagement and knowledge retention. The new matrix now blends 60 of Mintra's accredited courses alongside 40 of Intership's own, all accessible online and offline through Trainingportal and the app. This integration, along with the merging of Intership’s internal crew management system, ensures that seafarers can access all their training and certifications in one place.
Seamless Coordination
The migration was executed over several months, requiring careful coordination with the previous service provider and adherence to varying completion dates across the 105 vessels. Our detailed planning and project management, combined with the collaborative efforts of Intership's training and technical teams, ensured uninterrupted service. The move to a more flexible contract model covering all vessels has already yielded cost efficiencies and optimised training management processes for Intership.
Enhancing Seafarer Development
Intership Navigation manages a diverse fleet, comprising dry bulk carriers, tankers, gas carriers, general cargo ships, cement carriers, and PCTCs. Their remarkable crew retention rate of 96% is a testament to the robust support provided by group-owned manning agencies and the Intership Navigation Training Centre (ISNTC) in Manila. By integrating Mintra's competency management system, Intership will offer clear visibility and centralised control over career progression, enabling seafarers to actively pursue promotions. Additionally, Mintra’s SafeMetrix platform will be employed to enhance the recruitment and development of seafarers, providing insights into non-technical skills to ensure their wellbeing and safety.
