Mintra has an exciting opportunity for a creative and dynamic Product Marketing Manager to join our international product team, responsible for making our products “fly-off the shelf”. This is a permanent position which can be based remotely or in any of our offices across Norway in Bergen, Oslo and Stavanger, Aberdeen in the UK or in our Limassol office in Cyprus.

About the job:

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for understanding our product’s value proposition and articulating to our customers how our product and service can enhance their operations. This includes understanding our customers processes and identifying opportunity gaps, understanding our competitors and their product offerings, and collaborating with our product and marketing teams to develop innovative campaigns that increase product demand.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Market intelligence—you will be the expert on our existing and potential customers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria.
  • Understand the competitive landscape—you will be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing to develop product positioning and brand messaging that resonates with our target market.
  • Understand and document our customers’ process, including where they get information and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive resultant improvements to our sales and marketing processes.
  • Develop a marketing plan for our products covering key activities and budgets to support the retention of, and upsell to, existing customers alongside the acquisition of new customers.
  • Assess the ongoing effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products and report to the business on recommended improvements and strategy.
  • Plan the launches of new products and releases of new functionality to existing products and manage the cross-functional implementation of our marketing plan.
  • Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support externally, including speaking engagements, webinars and written communications.
  • Understand and support our sales channels; advise them on the problems our products solve for our buyers and end-users; develop internal training tools and external collateral and teach users how and when to use our products to maximise their efficacy.

We`d like you to have:

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience with a minimum of 2-years of experience in a market-facing role, for example, delivering presentations to existing and potential customers, conducting competitor analysis and industry-wide market research
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
  • Strong proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Exceptional English and communications skills
  • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, ability to evidence what is –or isn’t—effective
  • Power user of networking tools, such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups
  • Excellent people and management skills to maximise interaction with customers, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
  • Familiarity with the energy and maritime industries and / or Norwegian language skills beneficial

What we’ll do for you:

A competitive salary and benefits package and the opportunity to be part of a high performing and creative marketing team.

We want you to share our values:

  • People are our business and the core of everything we do. You should be able to grow the talent within our business, nurture a friendly, engaging and rewarding culture and deliver an exceptional level of service to our clients.
  • We explore and encourage you to demonstrate and reward creativity in your team. You will utilise the latest techniques and technologies, be inquisitive and take up the challenge.
  • Open and collaborative, you should be helpful, respectful and flexible. We expect you to communicate effectively, sharing knowledge and your experience with the wider team.
  • Driving performance, you should be commercially aware and have an entrepreneurial spirit. You lead by example, going above and beyond expectations and delivering real value.
  • Delivering with pride and excellence in everything we do. We expect you to present solutions, on time and within budget and to a consistently high standard. You should offer honest and constructive feedback and take pride in your craft, never settling for ‘good enough’.
