Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.
• Identify the basic principles of operation of four stroke diesel engines
• Identify key components that operate within a typical diesel engine
• Describe how the power and performance of diesel engines can be enhanced
• Identify the importance of adequately lubricating the moving components of the diesel engine
• Identify the importance of cooling water systems in diesel engines (to prevent overheating)
• Describe the different types of (diesel) fuel injection systems that may be used in diesel engines
• Identify that there are many different uses and sizes of diesel engines
Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.
