• International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARLPOL)
• Resolution MEPC.314(74) Amendments to the Annex of MARPOL
• Resolution MEPC.312(74) Guidelines for the use of electronic record books under MARPOL
Is there an assessment?
Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 70%.
Learning Objectives
• Give examples of how pollution can enter into the sea and oceans
• Identify how pollutive garbage enters the seas and oceans
• Give an overview of the regulations within Annex V
• Explain the procedures that are practised as a part of the garbage management plan
• Describe how to record garbage disposal in the garbage record book depending on each circumstance
Assessment
Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 70%.
