Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 70%.
Learning Objectives
• Define the role of a seafarer
• Give an overview of the challenges of a seafarer
• Describe how a seafarer can be affected physically by spending long periods of time at sea
• Describe how a seafarer can be affected mentally by spending long periods of time at sea
• Identify actions that seafarers can take to reduce the effects of physical and mental health issues at sea
• Explain the unpredictable circumstances seafarers can face
• Give an overview of how the Maritime Labour Convention protects the rights and needs of seafarers
Assessment
Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 70%.
