This online course meets the requirements of Table II/4 of the STCW Code, Specification of Minimum Standard of Competence for Ratings Forming Part of a Navigational Watch (RFPNW) and is approved by the Commonwealth of Dominica Maritime Administration. The mandatory assessments supplied in the course must be completed and signed off by the Master on board a vessel or by completion of Northeast Maritime Institute's USCG Approved 8-hour RFPNW Assessment Course.
The course will also satisfy 4 of the 6 months minimum sea-time requirements for certification as a Rating Forming Part of a Navigation Watch.

The mandatory assessments supplied in the course must be completed and signed off by an STCW licensed Chief or Second Engineer onboard the vessel using the approved Training Record Book. Note: A $50 exam fee has been included in the course price.

The written exam(s) can be taken online through HALO° Exams, which you will be directed to at the end of your course.
