  • Identify the types of work activities that can be affected by the potential presence of mercury
  • Identify the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements for work involving, or potentially involving mercury
  • Identify the hygiene and sanitation steps that must be followed to reduce the risk of mercury exposure
  • Identify the waste management procedures that should be in place to control the removal of mercury or mercury contaminated waste
  • Explain the emergency response actions that should be taken in the event of mercury contamination
  • Identify the first-aid measures that must be taken in the event of mercury contamination
