Who is the course for?
This Introduction to the Theory of Gas Compression Training course is aimed at individuals working in the oil and gas industry who require an overview of gas compression theory. As an introductory course, it is particularly suited to those who are new to their role or the industry.

You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course and it is assumed that you are competent in your designated role.

Gas is compressed so that it can travel long distances down pipelines to gas gathering stations. This course will give you a basic understanding of the different types of gas compressor and how they operate.
It will also identify the factors that are taken into consideration when selecting a type of compressor to use for a particular purpose.

Is there an assessment?
Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.
