Who is the course for?
This eLearning course is aimed at individuals who work with hydrocarbons in locations where there is potential for discharges or releases to the marine environment.
Is previous experience required?
You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course and it is assumed that you are competent in your designated role.
How will the course benefit me?
Hydrocarbons can enter the marine environment and cause damage as a result of planned discharges or accidental releases. This course will give you a basic understanding of the types and sources of oily discharges and releases and the ways in which these can be reduced or contained.
The knowledge gained in this course will help you to stay in compliance with legislative requirements. It will also indicate your actions in the event of an emergency.
