The conference is expected to draw more than 1000 global participants, including significant shipowners, influential shipping executives and regulators.

The main theme for this year is “Shipping in Action: An Agenda for Change”. The panel discussions include:

At the event everyone will have the opportunity to learn more about Mintra’s new immersive Virtual Reality, VR, course on bridge alert management which has been developed in collaboration with ARuVR, world’s first Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality learning enterprise solution provider.

The dynamic learning tool includes a fully walkable bridge tour, using a modern 360-degree view of a replica of an existing bridge.

All learners can explore the bridge at their own pace, being immersed in the environment with virtual reality goggles or using traditional devices such as laptops or tablets.

The development of competencies is further supported by the interactive assessments taking place throughout the course, providing the user with different scenarios and best practice alerts.

The interactive VR course has been developed for all members of the bridge team including deck officers and ratings who undertake bridge watches. It incorporates an accurate understanding of the basics of bridge alert management and how it centralises the various alert sources on the bridge.

The course ensures bridge team makes full use of the bridge alert management and the central alert management display to save valuable time in critical situations.
