Travel management, crew changes, and crew rotations are a daily complexity in the maritime industry. They are time-consuming activities for crew managers, prone to last-minute changes, and yet critical to operations.
People are the most expensive resource in ship management. Crew and administrative expenses account for 76% of ship management costs. Any errors in travel arrangements can cause delays and lead to significant costs.
OCS HR Travel Management uses crewing rotation plans and rig operation schedules to facilitate and manage travel arrangements in one integrated solution. The crew coordinator is automatically presented with the information required to request travel booking from one of the integrated travel agencies. When travel is ready, the arrangements will be sent to the employees directly from the system, attaching important documents such as ‘Letter of guarantee’ if required.
