Siren will discuss how technology has transformed the way learning is consumed with new ecosystems, self-directed and Learning in the flow of work changing the landscape.
Innovation Director Valentinos Steliou will look into the future learning requirements of seafarers and the role data will play in preparing global crews for the everchanging competency landscape. He will focus on the importance of availability of tools for the upskilling and reskilling the next generation of seafarers.

Valentinos was appointed as Innovation Director for Mintra following the acquisition of Safebridge GmbH in 2021, leading the company’s Human Resource Management software. He has a diverse background in business and product development, project management, and finance, supporting the operations and strategic positioning of organisations for over 15 years.
Valentinos has great experience and a successful track record in strategy design, product release, and positioning principles, within the maritime industry. Before joining Safebridge in 2016, Valentinos provided business development services for start-ups and held senior management positions in the construction and automotive industries.
