Mintra Shortlisted for Safety4Sea Training Award in Collaboration with BSM

Mintra is proud to announce that it is on the prestigious Safety4Sea 2024 Training Award shortlist. This recognition comes as a result of Mintra's significant achievement in partnering with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) to spearhead competency-based digital training for 20,000 seafarers worldwide.

In this pioneering initiative, Mintra and BSM moved beyond traditional 'tick box' training to create a modern, 100% competency-focused matrix that caters to the dynamic nature of contemporary maritime operations. This new standard delivers safety excellence and operational efficiency across BSM's operations, ensuring their workforce is fully equipped to meet and exceed the highest safety and well-being standards in the maritime industry, both onshore and at sea.

Mintra collaborated with BSM to review and align training content, ensuring it met role-specific learning outcomes and vessel requirements. This significantly reduced repetitive course content, streamlining 800 courses down to 150 modern, relevant, and engaging modules that improve engagement and support continuous development.

The integration of BSM’s crewing database with Trainingportal established a unified interface that improves operational efficiency and tracks safety-critical certifications in real time. 20,000 seafarers now benefit from immediate access to training on and offline, with digital certification for swift verification and documentation.
