Who is this course for?
This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Training course is for personnel at all levels within an organisation to establish a common benchmark of awareness.

You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course.
How will this course benefit me?
This course provides an overview of common corporate sustainability approaches and identifies the social, environmental and corporate governance aspects that should be considered during business operations. The course also identifies the human rights that are at risk of infringement in the work environment, and you will be aware of the global presence of modern-day slavery. During the course, you will be asked to make your own decisions in relevant dilemmas involving environmental criminality, corruption and breaches of labour rights.

Learning Objectives
• Identify the human rights with risk of infringement by a company
• Recognise the global presence of modern-day slavery
• Describe common sustainability approaches for companies
• Be familiar with the ten core values that UN asks companies to support (UN Global Compact)
• Indicate common exclusion criteria for sustainable business investments
• Indicate common inclusion criteria for sustainable investments/operations
• Outline measures a company can take to protect the environment
• Explain why transparency matters and describe how a company can be transparent
• Describe how we can bridge our own needs as a company with those of the local communities
• Describe the basics of whistleblowing and identify situations that justify whistleblowing
• Conclude that new ways of thinking must be part of the solution
Assessment
Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.
