This Work Permit Awareness Training course is for all personnel involved in carrying out tasks under a Permit to Work system and those responsible for the Control of Work.

You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course and it is assumed that you are competent in your designated role

Is there an assessment?
Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.
• Identify the purpose, principles and legal framework of permit-to-work systems in UK offshore operations
• Recognise different types of permits, associated hazards, and required supporting controls
• Apply the correct procedures for planning, issuing, working under, and closing a permit to work
End of course assessment with an 80% pass mark.
