This training programme consists of three elements:

Who is the course for?
This Passenger and Crisis Management (STCW A-V/2-1 and A-V/2-2) Training course is suitable for all crew with responsibility for assisting with passenger and crisis management during an emergency.
Is previous experience required?
No previous experience is required to complete this course.
How will the course benefit me?
This course will give learners an overview of passenger and crisis management during an emergency.
How will the course benefit my company?
By ensuring personnel are aware of how they should respond in an emergency to ensure passenger safety.
What standards are referenced in the course?
• The International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS)
• The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code
• The International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL)
• Cargo Stowage and Securing (CSS) Code
• International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW)
Is there an assessment?
The exam includes questions on the theory aspects covered during the initial eLearning AND the activities completed during the onboard assessment. You should not attempt the exam until you have completed both aspects of the training.
Certificate:
When the training is completed, a certificate is issued by the Norwegian Maritime Authority.
The Norwegian Maritime Authority charge an additional fee to issue the formal STCW Certificate.
To complete the course, it is required that you are employed by a company which has a plan for onboard training with these kinds of activities.
The course will not be approved for any persons without a connection to a company as described above.

• Describe what comprises passenger assistance
• Describe assembly/muster procedures
• Describe how to optimise resources
• Explain the importance of controlling emergency response
• Describe methods to control passengers in a crisis
• Describe relevant aspects of passenger safety, cargo security, and ship openings

This course is STCW certified by the Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA).
